The Physics and Applied Maths Society of Queen’s University Belfast was first founded some years ago, but recently fell into obscurity, existing only as a front for the annual Maths and Physics formal.

In 2009, a group of students led by Rebecca Allen decided to get the society running again, to encourage social events within the school. At present we are planning for an upcoming Christmas party, the formal, and a possible trip to CERN in the summer.

The society is recognised by the Institute of Physics.

Our website is set up with collaboration in mind. You can easily sign up by clicking on the “Register” button above, and can submit posts and comments straight away. Posts require approval before they will be published to the feed. Once registered, you can also edit the “Module Links” wiki page, where we hope to compile a useful set of internet resources for AMA and PHY modules, so please add if you think you have something worth sharing!

If you have any suggestions for addition to the site, please do not hesitate to email pamsoc@qub.ac.uk
